Industry Mourns Death of Popular Figure

Australian professional darts player Kyle Anderson has died at the age of 33, the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has confirmed. Anderson was a popular figure on the PDC circuit and had been competing professionally since 2009.

Anderson was one of eight players to have hit a nine-dart finish at the PDC World Championship, which he achieved in 2014. He was also a multiple winner on the ProTour and reached the quarter-finals of the World Championship in 2017.

The PDC released a statement expressing its sadness at Anderson's passing.

"We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Kyle Anderson," the statement read. "Kyle was a talented player and a popular figure in the sport. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him."

Anderson's death has come as a shock to the darts community. He was a talented player with a bright future ahead of him. His passing will be a great loss to the sport.
